Beissbarth is a company with tradition – based in Munich for the past more then 111 years. Businessmen Daniel and Hermann Beissbarth, close friends of Daimler, were automotive pioneers in Bavaria at the end of the 19th century. For example, at the time they received the very first vehicle registration plate no. "1", which is today exhibited in the German Museum, as well as Germany's first driving license. Beginning in 1951, the sons of the company's founders developed the first automotive service equipment.
Today Beissbarth employs over 200 staff manufacturing modern test and service equipment for vehicle workshops, corresponding to the continuously growing standards of the automotive industry. Its primary focus during the past decades has been set on wheel alignment, vehicle testing and products for tyre service.
Beissbarth service equipment is approved and recommended by international automotive manufacturers (OE) and is used in OE service networks worldwide. The extensive research and development team continuously creates innovative products for the market. Additional important customer segments include independent garages, tyre retail chains, fast fitters and authorized inspection organizations. They all especially appreciate Beissbarth's precision and measuring accuracy - together with the corresponding efficient test procedures.
A network of authorized 250 wholesalers and service providers worldwide are active Beissbarth partners. They are supported directly from the Munich-based service and sales team and online via the software centre. The Beissbarth customer service team and hotline ensure efficient support of customers within Germany.
The development, approval, marketing and servicing of test equipment is customer-oriented and is undertaken in close collaboration with major vehicle manufacturers.
Beissbarth test equipment can be used for conventional repair and servicing work on all vehicle categories, also for motorcycles, buses and commercial trucks.
Beissbarth also manufactures test equipment on behalf of OEs and under OE brand names. The "Homologation Team" prepares the worldwide marketing of test equipment and ensures fulfillment of manufacturer's specifications, technical standards and statutory requirements.
Since its takeover by Robert Bosch in April 2007, Beissbarth has been a member of the Bosch Group and forms part of the Diagnostics product range which is integrated into the Automotive Aftermarket division. Since this time, Bosch's core competency Diagnostics for wheel alignment and testing technology has been located in Munich. The Beissbarth brand, known in vehicle workshops worldwide, will continue to be used as a sign of quality.
By purchasing Beissbarth, Robert Bosch has repositioned the "Wheels and Tires" product segment and is now able to continue expansion of the successful Parts & Bytes strategy in the IAM. Products are especially designed for Bosch and are developed and manufactured by Beissbarth in Munich.
The Munich location has been expanded together with current Bosch Production System. Modern corporate logistics and manufacturing processes supplement Beissbarth's medium-size-flexibility, thereby supplying the best quality standards for the market.
Special customer requirements can still be optimally realized by means of customized small-batch manufacturing. This expertise comes from Beissbarth's traditionally large development team, which covers all specialist qualifications ranging from mechanical construction, electronics and software development through to digital image processing.
The existing excellent position with vehicle inspection organizations worldwide will be further expanded in combination with Bosch's diagnostic devices. A specialized team is supporting importers and trading partners worldwide as the driving task force in the realization of this.
Workshop networking: The profitability of workshops in the future, especially in terms of test technology and diagnosis, will depend significantly on their networking capability.
For this reason, Beissbarth has created new interfaces for connecting up to workshop management systems. This means that measurement results can be exchanged and customer data can be accessed more quickly. In addition, it is now possible to integrate OBD diagnostic modules into Beissbarth's testing technology. This opens up new options for workshops and inspection organizations to design their work processes more professionally and efficiently. Completely new tests and procedures are now possible.
Beissbarth is known worldwide for meeting extremely high demands in terms of quality, innovative automotive technology and for supporting customers that know exactly why they have chosen Beissbarth.
